Question
Just another stupid one. But this should make you think and hopefully reflect. It's not meant to offend, it's merely my attempt to recognize the extreme ugly I see when I look at the reflection in the mirror that includes me. If you do not consider yourself as robust in spirit or intellect, you should not continue reading.
Setting the stage:
The USA is a democracy. A country, owned, operated and
governed by the citizen population. One of the basic
principles that all americans hold dear is the freedom
of religion. The USA, is by in large populated by christians.
Asking the embarrassing questions:
What in the name of christianity gives the USA the
justification to be the largest ARMS dealer in the world ?
Also, being run by christians, why is the USA in the business
of the death penalty at all ? What was it again that christ
was all about ? How on earth have the teachings of christ been
translated into what the people of the USA are living and
preaching by example to the world ? If indeed you are christian,
in light of christ and/or his teachings, how do you personaly
think he feels about your position on these quetions ? And why ?
If you are not christian, How inspired would you be by these
living examples to accept anything else offered by christianity ?
In either case, the crusades and inquisition could be said, to
seem as though they may not have ended yet.
And finally, my last blasphemous heresy is this, Why does god and/or his/her/it's religion need a tax break or money at all for that matter ? Unfortunately, these are stupid questions for me
to ask myself, as I suspect, I know very well, what the answers are.
